Biomass, Wind and Solar Hybrid Community Power Solutions

We build biomass, wind and solar hybrid community power plant networks to serve small communities, large cities and everything in between. Our community power system rides on a smart micro grid power distribution (SMGPD) system where electricity is generated from a scalable mesh of energy sources, close to where it is used.

A critical component of the SMGPD is community energy storage (CES). This consists of small energy storage units connected to the secondary of transformers serving a few houses or small commercial loads.  A large number of these small storage units are aggregated regionally and controlled as a fleet.

CES provides energy capacity, efficiency, and reliability. They provide backup power for the houses connected locally, serve as local voltage control, and provide efficient, convenient integration with the other renewable resources.

Power Audits

The objectives of an energy analysis or audit are to identify and develop modifications that will reduce the energy use and/or cost of operating a building. The results are presented in a format that provides the information needed by an owner/operator to decide if any, some, or all of the recommended modifications should be implemented

System Design and Full System Integration

Last Mile Data Infrastructure – WiFi Services

Broadband Internet access across Africa is inadequate and most operators are currently unable to meet expectations.

PNN supports the efforts of major operators with our novel Wi-Fi technology, taking broadband Internet services to targeted communities and campuses at a rate they can afford.

Off Grid Power Infrastructure – Captive Power Services

PNN deploys independent power plants (IPPs) using renewable power, and will generate up to 400MW of power over the next 5 years.

Our solution utilises renewable energy, which in today’s market also attracts a number of global financing models such as the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).  CDM estimates the amount of carbon emissions that the project has saved and the project can earn carbon credits for these emissions.
